New Orleans ...

You head deep into the French Quarter, slipping past the silly shenanigans of the tourists. You know where your own people let loose.

Past a door marked only with leather and rainbow flags, you enter a warm, steamy world. Mellow and sultry tunes float by - blues, Creole, Zydeco, Cajun, jazz, as well as Mardi Gras samba and African rhythms. You smell something good cooking - Creole and Cajun style. And feel at home among every variety of alternative sexuality.

People are dressed many different ways - Mardi Gras, Creole, Cajun, French, Antebellum. Some are wearing masks. Some are wearing nothing but beads. Everyone's relaxed. Some are chatting. Others dancing. Others are flirting, snogging, or being joyfully kinky.

It's the most elegant, Old World city in America. And a great place to have a misspent youth, at any age.

Come on down to our fais do-do, and laissez les bons temps roulez!

As usual, there will be two organized group dinners earlier in the evening.

A portion of the proceeds from the Primal Nawlins party will be contributed to Brad Pitt's "Make It Right - Rebuilding New Orleans" project, in collaboration with Global Green.

Suggested attire includes:

For some background, there are many resources available, including: reading list to be added here real soon now.

You can call it "The Crescent City", but only tourists call it "The Big Easy". Like saying "Frisco".
